2024 National Property Conference – Attendee Terms and Conditions
The National Property Conference is organised and run by The Australian Property Institute (API). By registering for the Conference, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below.
1. Registration and Payment
1.1 Registration: A confirmation and tax invoice will be sent to the email address you entered when you registered. If you do not receive this email, please contact nationalconference@api.org.au.
1.2 Member pricing: Access to discounted member rates is only available to current members of any of the organisations listed here. Regular audits are conducted to check membership status of registered attendees. If the current membership status of an attendee is unable to be verified, the attendee will be liable for the cost difference of a non-member ticket of the same type.
1.3 Payment: You must pay all registration fees in full to API prior to the start of the Conference. If any fees are still outstanding, you will be refused entry. Credit card payments are processed through our trusted event and payment provider to ensure that your personal details are kept safe. None of your payment details are stored by API.
1.4 Sharing registrations: Sharing of a single registration between multiple attendees is not permitted. A registration can be transferred (see clause 2.2 below) if an attendee can no longer attend.
2. Cancellations and Refunds
2.1 Cancellation and refund policy: Cancellations received in writing to nationalconference@api.org.au three weeks prior to the commencement of the event will receive a full refund less an administrative fee of 25% of the ticket type in your order. Cancellations received after this date will not be entitled to a refund. Team packages are non-refundable.
2.2 Transferring your registration: If you can no longer attend, your ticket can be transferred to a different person, provided they are from the same organisation as you and using the same registration type. You must let us know of any transfers in writing by emailing nationalconference@api.org.au prior to the event. Please note that if any transfers are received within two weeks of the event, the venue may not be able to accommodate any special or dietary requirements.
2.3 Ticket Changes: No change to virtual or partial refunds will be provided to face to face tickets. As per section 2.2, if you can no longer attend face to face, transferring of your registration to a person from the same organisation is permitted.
3. Accommodation
3.1 Eventfrog: API has appointed Eventfrog as the official accommodation booking agent for the National Property Conference. Payment for accommodation is separate to the Conference registration payment. Please contact our supplier directly if you have any accommodation queries.
4. Audio and Video Recording
4.1 Image/video release: By registering for the Conference, you grant permission to API, its agents and others working under its authority, to take and to have full and free use of video and photographs containing your image or likeness. It is understood these images may be used for promotion, news, online/multimedia, research and/or educational purposes by and for API. You agree that you are not entitled to remuneration, residuals, royalties or any other payment from API in respect of your image/likeness or its use. You release, discharge and hold harmless, API and its agents from any and all claims, demands or causes of action that you may hereafter have by reason of anything contained in the photographs or video.
5. Privacy and Data
5.1 Personal information: Your personal data is stored in EventsAIR. All supplied sensitive information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into its database.
5.2 Payment information: All credit card payments are processed through our payment provider to ensure that your personal details are kept safe. None of your payment details are stored by API or EventsAIR.
5.3 Contact information: When registering you have an option to Opt In or Opt Out of sharing your contact details with partners and exhibitors. Only basic information (your Name, Organisation, Business Telephone and Email Address) will be shared if you Opt In. You will not be able to proceed with the registration unless you Opt In or Opt Out. If someone has purchased your ticket as part of a group, you will be asked to Opt In or Opt Out in a follow-up email, and it is your responsibility to Opt In or Opt Out.
5.4 Exhibitor scanning: Exhibitors will have access to name badge scanning software that enables them to obtain your contact details if you allow them to scan your name badge. Even if you have Opted Out, you agree that by having your name badge scanned at an exhibition stand, you are giving permission for this information to be sent to that particular exhibitor.
6. Program
6.1 Program changes: All details on the Conference website and program are subject to change without notice. The website will always have the most current version of the program.
7. Visas and Quarantine
7.1 Visas: Delegates travelling from overseas may be required to obtain a visa before travelling to Australia. You should apply for your visa not less than two months prior to your departure. Failure to obtain a visa will not be accepted as grounds for refund of any fees or other costs paid to the conference.

8. Insurance
8.1 Insurance: All conference participants are advised to obtain their own insurance to cover all risks including (but not limited to) costs of travel, accommodation, Conference fees, personal property, health and medical expenses, injury, death and all other risks.
