Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) will connect our suburbs and get people where they need to go – and help Melbourne evolve into a ‘city of centres’ over time. 

Modern and convenient public transport will attract new investment, housing and economic investment in the broader areas surrounding the new SRL stations. We are doing the planning now to build on the existing strengths of these neighbourhoods to ensure they are sustainable, attractive and well-serviced neighbourhoods into the future.

By the 2050s, it’s estimated more than 70,000 additional homes will be accommodated in SRL East precincts, as well as 230,000 more jobs.
