Placemapp replaces sensors, pedestrian surveys, data loggers and traffic counters, all of which are hard to manage and lack full coverage. 

Placemapp insights improve investment decisions and make it easier to manage public and private amenities, map popular walking and cycling routes, quantify facility use and pinpoint road safety infrastructure in areas of heavy foot traffic. It also supports local governments when lobbying for road improvements by measuring traffic volumes and profiling road users.
