SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY & SUSTAINABILITY
HONEST GOODNESS
Developed by the Adelaide Convention Centre team in collaboration with the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), the University of Adelaide and CSIRO Health and Biosecurity, the new menu is packed with authentic, wholesome foods sourced from local sustainable environments. "Honest Goodness" focuses on feel good, wholefood, made fresh – achieved using minimal intervention foods and artisan produce, along with an unwavering commitment to ‘house-made’. The result is memorable, restaurant-quality dishes that are not only nutritionally-balanced but full of flavour.
COVID-19 UPDATE

EARTHCHECK
In 2018, the ACC proudly became the first convention centre in the world to achieve the coveted EarthCheck Platinum Certification. The achievement represents ‘best practice’
in sustainability and reflects 10 years
of continuous certification with the EarthCheck program.
FEEDING ADELAIDE
Food redistribution is a major focus at the Adelaide Convention Centre. Through long-standing partnerships with local organisations, Foodbank and OzHarvest, ACC has been able to donate many unused or excess food items from their kitchens to help feed the disadvantaged in our community.
WASTE MANAGEMENT
Events generate a large amount of waste,
be it left over food from a gala dinner
or plastic and packaging from
an exhibition. ACC has tackled this issue
from many corners and have
virtually eliminated waste.
IMPACT ON LOCAL BUSINESSES
ACC is proud to support local businesses and highlight the state’s delicious regional produce. The Adelaide Convention Centre purchase 97% of food and beverage from local suppliers injecting over $4.1 million into the state’s economy.
EMPLOYMENT DIVERSITY
A proud equal opportunities employer, the Adelaide Convention Centre’s workforce thrives on diversity and is made up of dedicated, professional and friendly staff
from all backgrounds of life.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT
ACC believes corporate social responsibility is central to business. They are very community conscious, take satisfaction in supporting South Australian producers, suppliers and not-for-profit organisations, and strive to set and meet high environmental standards.
