Member Rates

You must be an active PIA member to register at the member rate. Contact our membership team at membership@planning.org.au for more details on becoming a member or to check your current membership details.

 

Members Only Registrations

Members Only Registrations open 28 November and close 11 December 2022. Members only registrations must be paid in full prior to 12 December. If you are paying by invoice, please ensure that the payment is processed during this period or your registration amount will automatically increase to Early bird rate.

Early Bird Registrations

Early Bird Registrations open 12 December and close 12 February 2023. Early Bird Registrations must be paid in full prior to the close of the Early Bird Registration period for the discounted rate to apply (13 February 2023). If you are paying by invoice, please ensure that the payment is processed during this period or your registration amount will automatically increase to the standard rate.

 

Speaker registrations

Congress speakers are entitled to register at the discounted speaker rate. Speakers who have been successful via Call for Abstracts must register via the speaker registration portal to take advantage of this rate. Speakers must be registered and paid in full to present at Congress.

 

Shared registrations

Please note that if you are choosing to share your registration you will only be issued with ONE name badge. We can issue the badge in your organisation’s name (e.g. PIA staff), you will need to notify us of this during the registration process that this registration will be shared.
Shared registrations apply to Full congress registration, non-member rate applies unless all the attendees sharing the registration are PIA members.

Please ensure all people attending under a shared registration should be aware of the one name badge policy and bring a printed copy of the registration conformation. Only one person under a shared registration may attend at any one time. Badges should be passed onto the next registrant or returned to the registration desk at the end of the session. Delegates must hold a badge to attend and shared badges will not be reissued if not returned.

Payment

All amounts are in Australian dollars and are inclusive for Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 10%. Payment may be made by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or EFT. All registrations must be paid in full prior to the start of the congress, or you won't be able to pick up your name badge onsite.

 

Cancellation

Delegates who find themselves unable to attend the congress after submitting their online registration are most welcome to nominate a substitute. All substitutions and cancellations must be made by email to congress@planning.org.au

No Shows

If you are unable to attend, please advise us via emailing congress@planning.org.au to cancel your registration.
If you fail to advise us prior to congress, we regard your registration as 'no show' and cancellation fee of 100% will apply.

 

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND THE CONGRESS DUE TO COVID-19

If you cannot travel due to Government restrictions related to COVID-19
or because you are feeling unwell with suspected COVID symptoms,
we can either transfer your registration to attend the online plenaries and have the difference refunded,
or you can request for a full refund, if cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event. 
If cancelled within 14 days, we can transfer your registration to attend the online plenaries.

Please note any accommodation or travel booking cancellations must be arranged from your point of purchase.
PIA holds no liability for any losses incurred from this cancellation for travel, accommodation or any other expenses.

Refund policy

If you cancel 3 months prior to the Congress, you will be refunded 75% of your total fees.
If you cancel 2 months prior to the Congress, you will be refunded 50% of your total fees.
If you cancel 1 month prior to the Congress, 100% of your fees will be charged in cancellation.

 

Disclaimer of liability

PIA will not accept any liability for damages of any nature sustained by participants of their accompanying persons or loss of or damage to their personal property as a result of the congress or related events.

 

Insurance

PIA confirms that the delegate registration fees do not in any way include insurance cover. It is recommended that delegates consider their individual travel and health insurance requirements prior to making travel arrangements.

 

Privacy

PIA complies with the National Privacy Principles set out in the Commonwealth Act 1988 and reaffirmed in the Privacy Act (Private Sector) Amendment Act 2000 which came into effect in law in December 2001.

Unless required by law the Association will not disclose personal information about an individual unless the individual has provided consent, either at the time of providing the information or following a specific request.

In registering for this congress, your relevant details (name, organisation and state) will be included on a delegate list which will be distributed to all delegates, sponsors and exhibitors and future conference organisers. Please advise us during the registration process if you do not consent for your details to be included on the delegate list.

 

Media and photography

In registering for this congress, you accept that various events may be photographed, video or audio recorded and that this content may be used by PIA at its discretion on website, social media, newsletters or other promotional material. 

Accommodation Terms and Conditions

Planning Congress is using "Accommodation Link" (a licensed booking portal of ConferenceNational) to provide special accommodation deals for congress attendees. Please refer to each hotel's Terms and Conditions in each booking page.
