ABSTRACT:
The Market to Riverbank link is a joint investment between the City of Adelaide and the State Government to upgrade a series of small streets between the Adelaide Central Market and the Adelaide Riverbank/Adelaide Oval.
The link offers a more intimate route for more than 15,000 local pedestrians and cyclists to and from the Market District and the Riverbank. Improvements have included new paving, lighting, trees, landscaping, street furniture and public art. The tour will focus on design for walkability and access and inclusion including the results of collaboration with blind and vision impaired users.
The tour will be conducted by Carina Green, Senior Landscape Architect and Kirsten Potoczky, Senior Social Planner at the City of Adelaide.
